Firefox 4. Communicator plugin doesn't work

Just updated to Firefox 4 but the Communicator plugin won't install.

Installing Firefox 4, it notified my that the existing Communicator plugin wouldn't work with it and that a new one wasn't yet available.

I tried downloading and installing it again anyway it wouldn't install.

We need an updated plugin to work with FF4.

    What version of garmin communicator do you have? I have 2.9.3.0 installed.

    I upgraded to FF4 yesterday too, from 3.6.whatever, but it didn't complain about the communicator plugin. If I look at my list of plugins under FF4, it shows the communicator plugin as being active. Just now I took my 305 outside, walked 50 ft while logging, and connected it up and had no problem uploading the data.

    I am also having this problem. I have downloaded the latest plugin today at it is showing in my list of add-ons but when I go to upload files from my Garmin it tells me I have no plugin. The test page also does not detect it.

    I'm having the same problem.

    I downloaded the latest plugin (v2.9.3) and my Add-ons Manager Extension page shows it's installed.

    However the Garmin Test and Upload pages both say it's not installed.

    Garmin - please fix ASAP!

    Similarly no issues here - what other plugins are you running? Highly likely there's another one interfering with the Garmin Communicator.

    Tried again and still no dice. The plugin worked fine until updating to FF4, which upon installation, showed a notification that the GC plugin was not compatible.

    It knew. Now Garmin needs to know and fix it.

    I have removed the plugin, restarted Firefox, reinstalled the plugin, and restarted Firefox, three times.

    "Garmin Communicator Plugin Test Page
    Garmin Communicator Plugin is NOT detected."

    v2.9.3 (downloadable from Garmin.com) is compatible - I'm using it right now. What version do you have?

    I see the version on addons.mozilla.org is v2.8.1 (only compatible up to Firefox 3.6)

    What other plugins and/or extensions do you have installed in Firefox - they're often the cause of such behaviour.

    Actually it seems that some people are using the Communicator Plugin from the Firefox addons site... it's version 2.8.1.

    Version 2.9.3 from http://www8.garmin.com/support/agree.jsp?id=3607 has been out there since November 2010 and works with 3.6 & 4.0 - that appears to be the key here.
