Garmin BaseCamp: How to unselect BirdsEye?

I have a problem that may sound simple, but I am not able to solve it:
Using Garmin BaseCamp, I have loaded a BirdsEye image covering a certain area. This image is now always displayed on the top of may map, when I select this area.
How do I unselect the BirdsEye image? I cannot find any functionality for this in Garmin BaseCamp.
If the unselection is not possible, how do I delete the BirdsEye? I cannot find any functionality for that either.

Not sure how to keep the map and not make it show up, but to delete it, click on 'My Collection', then in the small window underneath that one, you should see all your downloaded Birdseye View maps. Just click on the one you want to delete and then click on edit/delete.

You might want to make a backup before you delete (in the upper left chose file/backup).
