New HRM2-SS won't pair with FR110

I just received a new HRM2-SS from Garmin to replace my original HRM2. However, I have tried several times, and I can't get my FR110 to recognize the HRM. I have rebooted the watch, turned the HRM option off and back on again, and tried pairing with the HRM on and off my body. I even removed the factory battery and replaced it with a new Energizer. Nothing. Nada. Zip.

Any suggestions, recommendations or tips?

Have you tried moistening the electrodes a little bit before you try to pair it?

In my area, during the winter months when relative humidity is low, I always have to moisten the strap a little bit to get it to wake up and communicate with the device.

If you have switched to a new heart rate strap, you must put on the new strap, and then view the heart rate screen (the screen with bpm in the center). After approximately 30 seconds of searching (for your old strap), the device will display a prompt asking if you are wearing your heart rate strap. Answer yes to this prompt, and the watch should find and pair with your new strap.

I waited 30 seconds at the HR screen, and it worked immediately! Back in action now. Thanks for the help!
