I have a Garmin 1390 LMT. It is equipped with lane guidance, but I dont understand how to use it. On the box, it shows it changing to a diffrent view with lanes, signs, and what lane to be in. I cant get mine to do that. Has the small lane guidance display in the corner, but thats it. What do I have to do to change this?
"Lane guidance" is what you are referring to in the top left corner, where the arrow for the lane(s) you should be in are hightlighted.
The actual picture of a freeway interchange is called "Junction View". Where available, that will pop up briefly just as you get to that point. From my limited experience with it so far, I think that Juncion Viewt typically pops up at major freeway intersections or splits.
You might look up "junction view" in your manual for more info.
Have a read through my post. I had same issue and had to rename a file that was wrong following a map update. I logged this last year but was fobbed off and thought the database was to small and not many junctions have the pictures but since fixing pretty much all motorway junctions in the uk come up and some other roads as well.
