Downloading BirdsEye JUST to memory card, can't do it!

Here's the issue guys. Basecamp will NOT install maps directly to my 4 gig card in my 62ST. It first copies to internal memory. That really sucks.

That's NO GOOD AT ALL. It seems I can (clumsily) copy, but no move, files from internal memory (or library, not sure whether LIBRARY is on the computer or on the 62ST or a combination of everything) , however, it still uses internal 62ST memory. How can I completely and totally BYPASS copying to my internal memory, but instead, right to the microsd card?

It doesn't seem that Basecamp can target the external memory. It's true that you can see the memory card in the file system tree on the left side of the screen but that still doesn't matter! I simply cannot get it to work from the initial Birdseye transfer menu (straight to the card).

Any solutions?
Thanks.

    BirdsEye memory capacity Problem solved!

Solution found, after much searching & frustration, not a problem anymore, it's very possible. In fact I did it and it works perfectly! FOLLOW CAREFULLY if you want to COMPLETELY bypass limited internal GPS memory with BirdsEye

    • Load BaseCamp
    • Select My Collection or a created My Collection sub-section. This will force the destination of your BirdsEye images to end up on your hard drive (where my collection lives), despite the wrong "GPS 62ST" selector when initializing your BirdsEye download!

    • Click the "New" button and select BirdsEye Imagery. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT YOUR GPS AS BEING SELECTED AS THE DESTINATION, IT'S WRONG! ONLY the selected side-panel "My Collections" will be the destination, which is actually on your hard drive. So select your GPS in the next dialog box in the downloader. It'll go straight to your collections. Don't worry, this works, Read on!
    • Select your BirdsEye area in the BirdsEye area selection box, either with the zoom control or free-form map selection tool. This will tell BirdsEye what area to download and install in your My Collections.
    • Select Next, then get to the end, making sure that in the end, you do not tell it to send to device. You already did that in the first step. Finish up and don't be nervous! Okay! Next step.
    • Now! Check our your My Collections. You'll then see the Birdseye data as a round icon in your map object list on the lower half of the BaseCamp screen. My Collections, to re-iterate, is on your HARD DRIVE NOT YOUR GPS, despite the fact that you selected your device as the destionation in step 1. I think it's a bug, but, continue on.
    • Click the Properties icon in the objects list, this is the properties of what you just selected (the named BirdsEye imagery). But You'll see that it's going to TAKE FOREVER to download! Even though I have a very fast cable modem connection, it's taking over 15 minutes to download! Sending it to your memory card would have given you a message "still downloading", and you didn't select properties to see the dog-slow download and you wouldn't have known and given up because you would have thought there's no feedback. But selecting Properties, you see your selected object (in the Collections tab object list on the lower half of your program window) is still downloading.
    • After it downloads, go back to the first objects-list tab (lower screen) of your collections (upper screen)
    • Now, see the nice red Birds-eye image icon? That is what you will now SEND-TO to your memory card!
    • CONFIRM the drive letter of your memory card in Windows explorer, mine is drive N: yours might be different.
    • Right mouse-button over the BirdsEye data icon and "send to" your memory card drive letter. BANG! You're done! Got that?
