Feature request-Time in HR zones

Could Connect and Training centre (Mac version) please have a facility to show the time spent in HR zones during a workout?
It is a fairly basic (and important) piece of data to anyone training in HR zones.
  • just bought s 910XT and liking it. BUT, am really disappointed there is no analysis of aggregate time spent in heart rate zones, other than going premium on Training Peaks.

If Garmin read these threads, please either confirm when this will be fixed or that you have no plans to. Such an easy thing to add and for any sort of heart rate training (isn't that what these things about for people in training) is an absoulte must.

If garmin don't ifx it, i can only assume its because Training Peaks don't want them to.

Might have to get a polar as well now for training purposes.
  • Add me to the list of those wanting this feature added!!!

Time in HR Zone Feature a Must-Have

Yes, I agree ... "Time in HR Zone" would be a huge asset and should be a basic capture.
I can't believe I currently do this for each of my workouts: export data from Garmin Connect into Training Center; then load times into my excel spreadsheet to track & analyze my workouts. It's making me feel very nerdy!
  • Firstbeat Athlete also has some cool analysis tools, including time in zones, but this should all be provided by GC. Its not difficult, its all out there. GC does have a very simple and user friendly format, but lacks much depth. I really do get the impression Garmin do not prioritise software development at all - customer feedback is consistently ignored,

This is important and useful information.

Please add time spent in zone and percent time spent in zone both for individual runs and for aggregate reports like % time in zone per month etc.

This is one of the more useful and necessary pieces of information for really utilizing a HR monitor.

 Not sure why you don't jump on this...

This is a very useful tool. Please add this as a feature.

Yes, this would be a very useful feature. It's absolutely essential to quantifying the effort from a particular workout.

Still no word on when to expect this?

I'm bumping this thread, as it's been THREE YEARS since this feature - the most basic and essential analysis tool for any vaguely serious athlete - was first requested.

Once again: Average HR is meaningless. We need time spent in zone if we're to gain any practical insights from training data.

Please, someone from Garmin, at least acknowledge that this is a missing feature and you're working on it. Garmin Connect is crippled without it.

    Anyone?

Is this addressed in another thread? Time in HR zones for an exercise, for a weeks worth of exercises or a years worth of exercises is also important to me.
