Unit frozen at "loading map" screen

I just updated my map on my 3750 today, and the update went just fine (as usual). After the map update was complete and I was rebooting my GPS, it stops at the Garmin screen and says "loading maps" on the bottom, and just stays there.

What can I do? I just emailed Garmin about it, but hopefully there is something?

Plugging it into the computer does nothing, the computer does not even recognize that it is attached.

It could be a bad activity or course file. Connect the 800 to the computer and copy off all activities and courses, then delete them from the 800, emptying the trash in the process. Power on the 800 and see if it completes startup.

Could you clarify what the 800 is?

It will not allow me to connect to the computer... It never "connects". Is there a way to do this if the computer does not recognize it?

The 800 is the latest version of the cycling specific model.
