Upgrading from 705 to 800

I have a Garmin 705 that I have a North America and Europe NT DVD map. I would like to purchase a new 800 and sell the 705 to a friend. Is there any possibility to un-install the map software that is paired with the 705 and pair it with the 805? Do I need to purchase a new map DVD?
