I have 2 Garmin devices; an Edge 500 and a Forerunner 310XT. The 310XT is the 3rd one with the first two having been replaced under warranty. I thought the latest 310XT was also faulty because it kept recording my heart rate as being really high when I knew it was not. Recently I swapped the chest straps and used the one that came with the Edge. It seemed to work well so it seems the problem is in the strap not the 310. Would this be a battery issue or is it likely to be yet another faulty bit of hardware? Has anyone else had this problem?
yes, exactly. reading ridiculously high, peaks of 200 for awhile, like that. It is in the monitor as I have an oregon and the 305 and can compare. Seems like picking up an electric heartbeat would be fairly easy technology. How did Garmin screw this up? I think they had there head up there maps.
