Hi ... I am new to this device and to this forum so apologies in advance if I am asking a dumb question or posting it in the wrong place.
I purchased from an acquaintance an Etrex Vista HCX, Topo US 2008 (1:100,000), and MetroGuide North America. Both map products on DVD. I installed the MapSource software, selected the entire MetroGuide map and specific regions of the Top map. I could see the segments of both maps listed in the Map tab in MapSource. I then exported the maps to a new memory card on the Etrex. When I use the Etrex only the MetroGuide map appears to be available. I understand that I cannot view both maps simultaneously, but I was expecting to see some way to switch between Topo and MetroGuide. The Topo segments I exported included the area I am currently in, if that matters.
The Etrex manual says:
From the Map page press Menu> Setup Map
Select the Map Setup Information Page
When I select that I get what appears to be a long list of area maps with no information about whether they are Topo or Metro. All appear to be selected.
I was expecting to be able to toggle to the Topo.
What am I missing?
