Timing diagram in Garmin Connect

Hi! Sry if this is crossposting but I need help asap. The diagram for timing in garmin connect acts very odd with my 310xt. The timing diagrams are very misleading. Heres two samples of a workout with 8 laps, no symmetry at all.

  • sorry the connect jpeg gives a "404 not found error"

The second image works fine, looks like a good workout.

I think that's because GC samples the data then effectively just joins the dots, as opposed to smoothing the data. So what you see depends on where the data was sample for display in GC. If it smoothed the data then it should retain all but the most rapid changes.

I could be wrong, but that's how I've assumed GC works based on viewing my workouts.
