Elevation Corrections Keep Getting Disabled

Former Member

I have a Garmin Edge 205, so the Elevation Corrections should be enabled by default. I have never chosen to disable them, yet for some rides, I see that they are disabled.

How can I prevent this?

I looked at some of your activities. I noticed that some of them indicate a 205 and some of them indicate a 305.

    Is that invalid as well?

I didn't go back to see if there is a pattern between 205/305 and enabled/disabled.

I see on page 76 of the manual that the 305 contains a barometric altimeter, and I assume that the 205 does not.

As far as I know the 305 has no barometric altimeter, and in any case my 310 doesn't

could this be due to the location ???

Sorry, our posts were referring to the EDGE 205/305, and not the Forerunner 305.

The Edge 305 has a barometer and the Edge 205 does not, per the spec sheets.
  • This has started happening to me all of a sudden with my 410. I have corrections enabled by default but today's run is disabled and every time I click enable it just reverts to disabled.

OK, thanks for the clarification ... anyway it still does not work here :(

My Forerunner 305 has never had a problem w elevation, yesterday for the first time and today the elvation correction remains disabled, same as others and is giving crazy elevations.

I have a 405 and yesterday elevation correction was disabled and would not enable. Same today. Something for Garmin to sort out I think.
