Forerunner 110 upload not completing

Just ran into a problem trying to upload some new data from my Forerunner 110 to Garmin Connect. My device is detected and the screen says it is reading from the device, please wait. After 30 minutes the same screen is there and the message on the screen still says please wait. I've turned off my firewall and rebooted my system once and still have the same problem.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Similar Problem with loading, but 310XT

    Have had this problem for a week or so. Following another thread, I found the workout files in my computer's Garmin directory--in Pending Uploads. ANT Agent is communicating well with device (310XT), but workouts aren't loading from ANT/computer to Garmin Connect. VERY FRUSTRATING!!! :(

    Forerunner 110 upload not completing

    I've seen a few other threads with similar issues but no resolution. I haven't seen any responses from Garmin either. Not a good way to keep customers.

    Same here

    My data won't download - says server error. Ha the problem for two weeks now.Contacted 'support' twice via email. No response.

    Not what I pid all that money for, a device that doesn't work and no back up support in solving the issue.

    Will look elsewhere in the future.

    Hi are you uk based ?

    I have had excellent help in the past from Garmin UK via phone call,

    I presume ther has been some web update as i have just tried to download my last few workouts from my forerunner 405 and it seems to get stuck just reading the data.
    I have just downloaded the latest communicator software and for some reason my device id not appearing in the list.
    It cannot find my device and is asking me to set the interface option ???...
    "No devices were found.Please make sure your devices were connected to the computer and turned on, then try again. You may also need to set the interface option ? on your gps to garmin or host ??"

    I cannot find this option on my 405 ?

    I will ring Garmin tomorrow and try abd get this resolved.

  • Similar problem uploading from my Edge 500 (with a work around tho)

    I am a newbie with 2 weeks of successful uploading. But a few days ago my attempts at uploading began getting hung up at the point after Garmin Connect successfully detects the device. The process never gets past the point when it's reading the device looking for activities.

    I DID, however, discover that I can manually upload my activities using Garmin Connect's manual upload option where I can browse and select and upload the activity files (in my case, Edge 500's .fit files) directly from the mounted Garmin drive on my desktop.

    So maybe that can help you and maybe that would be a clue for the Garmin folks.

    Thanks for the suggestion about the manual upload. I was able to manually upload my latest activity. Hopefully Garmin gets their issue with the autoloading of activities resolved.
