Is it possible to import HRM files?

I have a Forunner50 that records just the heart rate over time. I downloaded it to Garmin Traing Center and Garmin Connect with the ANT agent with no problem.

If the HRM file is tcx you can import it manually to GTC and/or GC.

What I want to do is to import my training from Tacx Trainer Software where the files are saved as .HRM. How do I get the .HRM file into GC? Is there anyway to convert the .HRM file to .TCX?

Sorry, I misunderstood what you meant by HRM and did not see the dot in front :o

Can you attach a sample file here and I will see what my software can do.

It doesn´t work to attach .HRM files. File format not accepted.

You can "zip" the file down with DropZip or WinZip or ZipFree and then you can attach it.

Didn´t think of that...:o. Here it is.
By the way. Do you work at Garmin?

No I do not work at Garmin but I have enjoyed their products.

Sorry, none of my software will open your HRM file.

Can you export your data from Polar Trainer in a more generic form like ascii or csv?
  • Ascent on a mac will import polar .hrm files, I'm sure that people can suggest other software that can.
.tcx files can then be exported from there.
  • This problem has now been fixed with Mathias Krallmann's excellent FIT file repair tool. This tool can be used to import .hrm, .tcx, or .fit files. Repairs can then be made if the file is corrupted.
The file can then be output into .fit or .tcx file formats.

I have now converted 15 .hrm files from Tacx Fortius/Tacx Training Software into .fit format. They have been successfully loaded into the following applications:

    PC:
    Garmin Training Centre
    Training Peaks WKO

    Internet
    Garmin Connect
    Trainingpeaks
    www.strava.com

Data shown is Heart Rate, Power, Cadence, and Speed (strava will only show an average speed).

The application can be found at:
