Hi,

I live in Sweden, but when looking at the map in explorer activities i get Adelaide, Australia as my default city.

How do I get Partille, Sweden as the default city? I'm tired of needing to search every time I enter this part of garmin connect.

The default city is rotated to a different city around the world.

Your request to have your own default city has been made before. Not sure if there are any plans to implement it, though.

I just figured out why Adelaide may be the featured city -- The Tour Down Under is there right now. You might be able to pull up some of Garmin's cycling team's rides on Garmin Connect (if they upload them to GC).

Default city monopoly

If there are no intensions to change default cities or to make any sense of "explore" feature for the majority of users; please remove it. Emotional connection to certain areas should not be forced upon all of us and certainly does not contribute to professional look of the site.

My suggestion would be to list weirdest uploaded activity places like top of the mountains, deserts, jungles… Ask such users do upload a few pictures and voila – hours of funfor everybody.

The default cities are changed. TSAWCHUC provided a link to the Garmin policy on this, which is to change it once a week (although it looks like they might currently be behind schedule).

The explore feature has some limitations and isn't perfect, but it can be useful.

You set your location, than select a track to explore (or by mistake you click the wrong one) ... the system switches to myConnect to show you details ... you go back to explore activities to pick a new/different one and, you are nowhere again.
Very clever.
