I am using eTrex Vista HCx (software version 3.30, GPS SW version 2.90).
I am trying to mark a waypoint (other than my location) using the device. I move the cursor to the location, press enter, then "select point" e.g. "10400 Ft" by pressing enter.
But instead of saving as the place I just selected on the map, the point comes up as "Turn 94" about 40 miles away... where the GPS unit was previously used.
I presume it has to do with some setting on the unit. Does anyone know how to correct this? and/or prevent it from happening again in the future?
