I just purchased my 1490LMT after Christmas. Received it on Dec 31. Worked great. Was able to update maps (online) with no problem (very slow process though, even with high speed cable modem. Curious... But I digress).
As with all new toys, I've taken very good care of this unit. being very careful when mounting and dismounting from windshield and carrying to and from car. Never dropped or over heated. ;)
Just last night (and suddenly) a white line appeared running horizontally across the screen. Located about 1/4 inch from top of screen. One pixel
thick. I believe it's a hardware fault (video driver is in the ON state for that pixel line). :confused: I've attempted hardware reset with NO help. :(
I've sent email to tech support to see what can be done (repair? replace?)
Just curious, anyone else had similar screen issues on these 5" screens? :confused:
