I just purchased a 1450T Nuvi here in Germany.
Whenever I power the device on, I have to search for Deutschland and then go into the settings to change the language to English. I kind of assumed it would remember this choice...
Is this normal? The device remembers everything else as far as I can tell, my favourites are still there etc...just this irritating need to set it up for locale and language each time.

Solved - I found the information on another forum. I hadn't left the device connected to Satellites for long enough (haven't used it to drive anywhere yet..only to test the device)
Apparently it needs to be running and connected to satellites for over 15 minutes to retain settings.
No doubt I will be back if it is still messing around after tomorrow morning when I will be using it for an hour or so :)
