Curious that this issue is not discussed here. At least I didn't found any information here, so hope I don't start a second thread.
I'm almost giving up waiting for Garmin to fix it, as this issue is not since the last month. While moving slowly ~ 1 foot per second the device is not updating it's position. Today I went geocaching and it was really frustrating. I even made a test. Projected a waypoint 30 meters away and started moving slowly towards it. According to device I wasn't moving at all. I've walked these 30 meters and even further and nothing!:eek: After that I made few quick steps with ~ 3-4 feet per second and then the device updated my position.
Some users said this issue happed after updating to fw 2.6. In v2.92 it still persist. But today I was using v2.5.
Contacted Garmin Support, but still waiting for response. However it this is not fixed soon I'll probably have to return the 62s and get a 60CSx, as this makes the 62s almost usless for geocaching, when you have to move really slowly most of the time:(
