1) Use Chrome as your browser.
2) Install the GFix extension from the Chrome web store.
GFix replaces the Bing maps in Garmin Connect with Google Maps. It also allows you to pop out the maps into their own window. Not only that, but you can pop out the map multiple times for a given run. Then you can view the same map/data in map, satellite, and/or terrain view simultaneously.
I have the same question, can it be done by using the Google Earth plug in?

A year behind us since this request for a bigger (full screen) map. I'd appreciate it if Garmin would create the possibilty for a bigger map. Maybe this is the wrong forum to ask? Or are there any other possibilties?
It works on the activity page but not on the dashboard page right now.
When I start with Google it deosn't go full browser screen but only about the same size as the original. It works fine when I start with Bing and I can then switch to Google and it still stays full browser but I can't start with Google. Is this normal?
