I worked all night last night on creating new workouts and setting up my calendar, with my watch on and connected the entire time. Then, it crashed... three times in a row, and I lost all of my data. Even BEFORE the equipment crashed, I had sent the information from "program" to "device". Still, none of the information saved in either the program or device/watch. I AGAIN corrected some information to conduct a test and NOTHING was syncing or being saved. Then, I made some test edits on my watch and then sent it to the program - and it worked. Obviously, there is software so I don't have to use the watch to manage everything. What is happening??
Also - when I first open Garmin software I am told to pick either the program or device profile because they aren't the same. I don't understand what that means? Why would they not be the same? It did that the first time I plugged my watch in. I've used it for two runs and it hasn't worked properly either time.
