Edge 500 Autopause Probelm after firmware Upgrade

I am having problems with "Autopause" on Edge 500 immediately since updating to firmware 2.60 (which included "improved" Autopause functionality). I am riding, at pace, and the thing Autopauses and doesn't come on again, then maybe it might resume again for 5 sec's, then autopause for say 10 minutes. Again and again.
Checked Autopause settings and it looked OK. Needless to say I can't use it. I'm back top relying on Flightdeck again.
Additionally, seems to be locating satellites way too quickly now as well, and when I start the Unit and go, the distance won't record, and the timer won't even start now either.

Whats going on?
Can we go back to firmware update 2.5? That seemed to be running a lot better.

Are you certain the speed/cadence sensor battery is not on the blink and needs replacement?

I just upgraded the firmware and am having the same issue. The whole thing is only 3 months old so I don't think it would be a faulty sensor though I suppose it's possible.

I managed to get it going again once I had done a few power cycles of the thing. It stayed on and working fine for the remaining 50km of the ride.

There are several posts on the 310xt forum about this. Garmin is looking into the problem.

Autopause has ruined my whole life

I am having problems with "Autopause" on Edge 500 immediately since updating to firmware 2.60

I've had same problem. Unfortunately, I just bought this unit...used it twice and it worked great...then, I updated to newer firmware and immediately experienced the problems described above.:(

Please help soon Garmin. The computer is almost completely unuseable to me as is.
