Forerunner 305 reset after run

At the beginning of today's run, I realized I had not uploaded the last run. Is there a way to begin data for a new run without uploading the previous run. I do not want to lose the previous run

Here is the proper procedure to save your run:

- when you start your run, press the start/stop button to start the timer and recording
- when you finish your run, press the start/stop button to stop the timer and recording
- press and hold the lap/reset button. you will see a 3-2-1 countdown, and then all the timers and distance displays will reset. your run will then be stored to memory as a separate activity

Do you have a functional Forerunner 305? This was released over 17 years ago. If so, you can try attaching it to a Windows or Mac computer with the Garmin charging cradle and mini-USB cable. Then using Garmin Express to sync activity data to your Garmin account.
