Can't upload activity from Edge 800 to Connect

I am new to Garmin. I have a new Edge 800. I was able to upload to Connect my first activity two days ago. Today I have been trying to upload activities from yesterday and today, but the Connect screen just keeps saying "reading activities, please wait...." It is taking forever, so I think something is wrong. I have the Communication Plug-in installed, the Test page says my device (Edge 800) is found and it is installed properly, but I just can't upload the activities. I am using the USB cable that came with the device. I have disconnected the Edge 800 and restarted my mac, but this has not made any difference.

Can anyone help me?
  • Using IE? If so, you'll need to add *.garmin.com to the list of trusted sites.
    In IE go to Tools > Internet Options > Security > Trusted Sites > Sites Uncheck "require server verification." Enter *.garmin.com, click Add, click OK. Close IE. Restart IE.

    Actually, based upon my review of some other threads about connection problems, I tried uploading my Edge 800 data to Connect through Mozilla Firefox instead of Safari and it worked. So, for today, my problem is solved. Will have to see if Firefox still works tomorrow. Also, then why did Safari work on Friday and not today?
