FR 60, Garmin Connect and distance option unavailable.

I just recieved an FR 60 and used it for swimming. How do I add "distance" once uploaded through Garmin connect. When I go into edit (the pencil) there is no place to add the distance.

However, when you manually add a workout the distance feature (along with several other fields) is available.

Is this an issue with the FR 60? Perhaps I should be get a 310XT instead OR will I have the same issue?

Click on the pencil that follows the word "Summary".

Since the HRM doesn't work while swimming, and since the FR60 doesn't measure anything about your swim workout (such as distance), I would not bother with the FR60 and just add your swim workouts as manual activities. When you are in Garmin Connect, go to myConnect > Activities, then click on the green plus sign next to Manual Activity.

DW152 ... Thanks, I knew that HR doesn't work in the water and that I'm only measuring "time" for swimming. I have not yet setup the foot-pod for running yet, but I'm starting to think maybe the 310XT would be better in the end.
