1450 lmt street name detail

I do not get residental street names on my 1450 and my friend gets them on his old 750 I updated the maps first thing. Is this usual to not get such detail?
I Set the 1450 too most detail?????

That doesn't sound right. The example that they show on the cover of the manual shows street names. (http://static.garmincdn.com/pumac/3130_OwnersManual.pdf ).

Have you tried zooming in with the Plus sign?

street names on 1450

My new Garmin nuvi 1450 does not show local street names either. Not even the street I live on! This is my first GPS and would like to know how to use it the best way. i did not receive the complete owners manual with my GPS, was I supposed to? I only got the 'quick start manual'.

To save some trees and cut down on cost, paper manuals are no longer supplied.
