Maybe someone has an idea of how to revive my Nuvi 255. A month or so ago it suddendly stopped working. If you turn it on, you get a display for a half a second and then the screen goes blank. I measured the voltage on the battery, it was only about 1.7v so I replaced the battery. Same results with the new battery. When you press the reset button, it makes a noise a few seconds later like something is happening, but again, the screen is blank. If you connect it to your PC, it is not detected (I tried registering it, and the Garmin site could not "see" it.
Does anyone have a suggestion? I have had this for about a year and a half, and it worked beautifully until it stopped working.
