Nuvi 3790T Phone & Voice Dialing Problems

Generally the voice dialing is brilliant but after using the unit for a couple of weeks I've noticed two fundamental limitations/problems

Dialing doesn't work with phone numbers beginning with "+44" country codes (or probably any code beginning with "+"

e.g. +44 1234567890 should become 0044 1234567890 when dialed, however the address book shows and dials 44 1234567890 which obviously fails.

My phone is a HTC Dream, changing the address book to avoid +nn codes is not an option as its used overseas. My unit is up-to-date software wise V3.60



• Using Voice commands with Favorites is almost impossible as there is no search function and you cannot voice-enter a name a long way down the list. With over 100 addresses you have to say "down" 20 times to get to the bottom of the list i.e. the furthest destination. This makes this function almost impossible to use when driving, am I missing something here?
  

Either these are genuine issues or I'm missing some vital information, this is my 2nd unit and is the same as the 1st in this regard.

Any solutions/suggestions very welcome?
