How to close Garmin accounts

How can I close myGarmin, garmin.connect and forums account and remove all data from garmin servers?

I am interested in that as well. Specifically I would like to make sure that Garmin doesn't keep a copy of my data!

I simply stopped using it. If Garmin want to keep my data on their servers taking up space, that's their call.
If it's too hard to kill the account, simply lock it all up to prevent folk seeing it and walk away.

There's far better things to be doing than worrying about what Garmin gets up to.

There's far better sites and applications to use for activity data than anything Garmin will ever supply.

No, people, the question is not about privacy, personal data, etc... :D

I registered with wrong username and correct email in myGarmin. After that I registered in this forum with the same credentials.

I changed email in the account

I created new account with correct username and email (the first email I registered to myGarmin)

When I tried to register to this forum with new username and email, it says email already exists, and there is no way to change email in the account!

Please help!

Hi, anyone got their problems solved? By mistake I registered today with the myGarmin ID from german myGarmin site and created (unwanted) a forum account with my email as username here.
Is there a chance that one of the admins will notice this thread and is going to help?

This also applies to me.
I was told by Garmin that my nickname can't be changed.
If it can't I'd like to close my account.

I need to cancel myGarmin account too (dad's actually - he passed away). So, how's it done?

I am looking to close my account as well. I created my account using my google account and used my email address as my nickname so anyone can access my email address. I'd rather not and have the option to show my email address instead. WOuld appreciate someone contacting me to remedy this.

You obviously didn't read the 'terms of use' pretty much if you do anything on the internet, it will be stored for eternity and subject to data mining. Even incorrect stuff. Like it or not. Our governments wouldn't have it any other way.

As for your problem of using your Email address, go to google or yahoo, or where ever, and create another free email address and re-register. I feel your pain, but Garmins had a 100 other people griping about this for over a year and still not done anything.
