Forerunner 305 Problem: "No Devices Found"

For over 10 days my 305 has not been recognised on my Macbook, my IBM Thinkpad or my Dell desktop.

I updated all the communicaor plugins on all machines and tried multiple USB cables, all to no avail.

Then I followed Seilogramp's instructions one by one, none of which worked:
* Do a soft reset: lap + mode
* Erase all courses
* Erase all but the last month's history
* Erase all but un-uploaded history
* Do a hard reset: mode + power (this will erase all data and put your device back to day one condition)

So now I've lost all my data. And guess what? My device is STILL NOT FOUND.

HELP PLEASE!

Thanks in advance

    hope i can help

Hi I have a 205 and when I get that message on occassion I check the contacts on the back of the 205 and those in the cradle and giving them a clean. This for me seems to do the trick. Hope this sorts out your problem

    Thank you Valisgonzozen!

My contacts were clean, but your reply got me thinking about loose connections. My cradle never felt really snug, so I pressed the watch down very hard into the cradle and that did the trick.

Sorted. Just wish I hadn't deleted all my data now . . .

Just to be clear - I have to press down and hold very hard to maintain the connection: if I let go, the connection is lost

    try

If your cradle is the problem see if you can get them to send you out another .
You might have to send them the one you have got back,However you should not have to hold it down. Good luck
