Suction cup won't come unstuck?

Hi everyone... New user here! I have a 265WT and the other day, I stuck the suction cup to the dashboard disk and it will not come unstuck! I don't want to leave it there because I don't want someone to see it and break into my car to steal my GPS but I also don't want to pull too hard and break the mount. Any suggestions?

the mount for my 370T has a small rubber tag on the suction mount which you can pull to release the vacuum.

My old gps did not and it did break when I tried to twist it off.
