It's not just us! (Gmaps vs Bing)

Today there have been a few blog posting on why Google Maps are so much readable than any other competitors out there. If only the stupid Garmin execs stayed in touch with technology instead of making ridiculous business decisions.

But as I said in all my previous postings, stupid decisions get punished by the open market. See what happened to the brilliant Nuviphone!!! And by brilliant what I really meant was, how ............ was that???

    Alternative to Garmin Connect

All of you who are upset with Garmin Connect's switch to Bing should check out the following site. Membership is free and it works with your Garmin. I've had the best luck exporting my ride data in TCX format from the Garmin Training Center software and then uploading the file to the site, but the site also says it will work directly with your device.

I especially like how the RideWithGPS site will let you calculate your average speed for an arbitrary section of your ride.
