IE7 script error when trying to upload data from Edge 500

When I go to connect.garmin.com and then click on the 'upload' button, then the website does not load properly. I can see the buttons for 'Upload All New Activities' etc but the website is un-reactive. Then I get an error message from Internet Explorer saying 'Stop running this script?' because the scripts makes my computer run slow. Even if I say 'no' the website stays un-responsive and I get the message again after a few seconds. I cannot upload any of my data, so please provide some help. This is a recent problem, I have always uploaded my data successfully but since recently I get this error message. I have not updated any of my software and I use IE7.

When was the last time that you were able to upload successfully.

There was an issue for a while that was solved for some by their clearing their internet cache.

You might try clearing your cache and then attempting the upload again.

I have already tried clearing the cache and that didnt help :(

I don't upload my data daily as I actually use WKO+ for analysing my data, so I only use Garmin Connect as a backup store and for showing my workouts to other people.

So I only upload every few days/weeks, and I think the last time I successfully uploaded the data properly must have been about 1-2 weeks ago.

If I keep clicking "No" to the popup message, then eventually I can actually upload the data. I have quite a few workouts stored on the Edge 500.Is the problem perhaps that I have too many workouts on the device? I have data from February 2010, and I ride about 5 times a week, so that is a lot of data.

Then it sounds like probably an IE7 issue.

If it were my computer, I would upgrade to IE8, or try one of the other free browsers available..
