1490T stuck in a loop trying to update the ecoRoute HD

Hi all. First time posting here. Ever since I updated my 1490T to firmware 4.70 (which came with an ecoRoute firmware update), I have been unable to use my ecoRoute HD.

I have an Ecoroute HD dongle in my car that has been working fine until this upgrade. Now when I turn on my 1490T, it detects the Ecoroute HD and immediately sends it a software update. It goes from 0% to 100% and then says "Waiting on Ecoroute HD to apply software update". And then it returns to sending the update, then wait again, then send the update again, etc...

It's been doing this for 2 straight days now. I'm forced to remove the ecoroute just so I can use my 1490T. As soon as I re-plug the ecoroute, the unit goes back into this loop update. I tried to unpair and re-pair the two, no change. I tried reseting the ecoroute and it didn't do a thing either. I tried a hard reset of the 1490T and it also didn't make a difference.

I'm hoping someone has encountered this before and has a magic trick to resolve this. I'm out of ideas...

Thanks

It appears that deleting the .System\RemoteSW folder and redownloading all updates resolved my issue. I'm not sure what was wrong with the folder structure after the initial update, but deleting and redownloading allowed to create a clean folder with all proper firmwares.

    An update.

I had a ticket opened with Garmin at the time I was investigating this issue. I was told flat out that my Saturn Vue 2008 is not compatible with the ecoRoute HD and the ticket was closed. I have been using the ecoRoute for 4 whole months before I started having problems after the software update so I don't get it. I mentioned what I did to resolve my issue, but that went nowhere. My car is not supported.

So I'm left puzzled by Garmin...

I just got the Ecoroute HD for my 1490T and guess what...It does the same thing. Connects to Ecoroute HD and starts sending software update and soon as it hits 90% (not sure if it isn't suppose to display 100%) it then waits for HD to do its update then sends it again. It does this 3 times and then states it can not connect to the HD. I don't have the same files to delete as you, perhaps because I have firmware 4.9. It isn't the car. Tried it on my cars a 2007 Mini Cooper S, 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe, and a 2006 Toyota Highlander. The only other car I haven't tried it on is my son's 2004 Mazda 6. Guess I am going to have to reach out to Garmin and get ths figured out. Anyone else got suggestions? BTW already done the reset to the nuvi and the ecoroute HD to no avail.

I found the folder but it was a little tricky to find the hidden folder. Not as simple as displaying hidden files option for your folders. So I deleted the .System\RemoteSW folder and another file recommened by another forum called mlg_history file in the SQL Lite folder. I then reloaded the firmware and then reconnected the ecoroute HD. IT WORKED :D How frustrating this was. You would think Garmin would have soemthing posted on this  Thank goodness for the world of the internet.

Turns out Garmin Customer service sent an email outlining almost the same steps. Instead of deleting the Remotesw folder they said delete the contents. Here is the email:

Please plug the unit into the computer and open the GARMIN drive.
    Open the '.system' folder.
You may need to show hidden and protected files on your computer to see this folder.
Open the 'Remote SW' folder and delete it's contents.
Unplug the unit and try connecting the ecoRoute HD again.
