If you use Chrome (un-supported browser for some reason) you can add an extension that will gut out the bing maps and replace them with awesome google maps. It's free.

There is nothing about Bing Maps that is better than Google Maps, and at the same time Bing Map features simply cannot match the quality of Google Maps features.
I agree wholeheartedly, Bing must go to re-establish Garmin's credibility as the No1.

Google maps are much better in UK and especially in Vietnam and Laos where they are rubbish. The roads on the Bing map are way out compared with the actual position of the roads. In Garmin Connect Player the route ridden does not correspond with the Bing map. According to Bing maps we were riding through fields.

Google Maps (terrain view in particular) was so much better for the type of activities I always go out on. The topography of Bing isn't near as detailed as Google. I'm in the mountains 99% of the time and it's really nice to see the detailed elevation changes. Bing looks flat even on my hikes that have 3,000 feet of elevation gain. If you view the same KML file on Google you can see what I'm talking about.

Sadly, I think it doesn't matter if we fill this post with one million replies, Garmin will still not listen.
I think the most effective way to get them to listen is to email their support and demand a non standard reply. Or... change service and use something else.
