Hi all - I've exhausted other channels including trawling this forum trying to fix the following problem - perhaps someone can offer help on the following:
I use the Garmin forerunner 405 with ANT/Training Center on Windows XP machine.
After transferring a long run via ANT agent, Training Center crashes on loading with the following error:
"GDI_GDIPLUSIMAGE.HPP.129-3.5.3.0"
So presumably something corrupted during the transfer.
In this case it's not the history files etc - I've removed all bin files etc, tried a re-installation but no success.
[I renamed the entire application data folder 'bad garmin', removed and re-installed training center and it creates a fresh directory but the problem persists]
I'm guessing the problem is occurring in an image file which Training Center has created (not in the application data, but in the program files folder itself) - in my case I believe it's program files\garmin\training center\PCBSMP2\pc_basemap2
I don't have the capacity to edit this file. If I move/rename it, Training Center is unable to open. When I put it back I end up with the same error as before.
I see that even though I've removed all application date files, my history is still retained in part in the fresh installation - I can see it in the lh tab when I attempt to load the crashing Training Center.
The pc_basmap2.img is a large file - I'm guessing that's where the references to those previous runs are retained.
Any ideas what to do?
