i thought i was buying a gps unit i could use out of the box -- just got a new 3790T. there was no indication i had to be a computer geek (i'm not) to figure it out.
it took me a couple of hours to do the software update (why did i have to do an update to make something brand new work?) -- now there are apparently aps, traffic updates, all sorts of things i have no mention of in the packaging.
can some kind soul give me a step by step guide (link?) to getting started and set up? i'm not an imbecile, just didn't anticipate this, and frankly, don't have a full day to put into setting up my expensive device by trial and error. seems like they could have put something in the box?
