Heart Rate % of Max - Incorrect?

Has anyone understod the correlation between the heart rate zones manually entered in the profile - and what is presented on the activity?

I just completed a run with an AHR of 166 - which typically corresponds to a Karvonen intensity of (166-55)/(198-55)=77.6% (RHR 55 / HRmax 198). However - the calculation made on the activity sheet in Garmin Connect gives me a "% of Max" at 84%.

Aren't the "Training Zones" taken into consideration on the activities? If so - why enter them at all?

Anyone who has any ideas, or who has found a way to work around this?

I've also been looking for a way in Garmin Connect to show heart rate per cent as Karvonen but without success. Did you mail support?

I did the same thing. Had conversations about it on the phone. Got a new Garmin device but the prolem is the same. The watch show during running the percentage based on the formule of Karvonen but readings in training center and on Garmin connect show percentages of the max heartrate. Difference of about 10%.
Trainingszones are the same as on the watch.
No answer yet. Made several print screens and send them to Garmin help desk.
