trouble: Garmin 60CSx waypoints export

hello, im using an 60CSx on work and im having troubles exporting waypoints.
im not having any issues exporting to pc, the "automatic waypoints" using the *.gpx file (only get latitu., long, elevation and so on). but while on work with the gps, i used manual waypoints, using the MARK and added custom icons and info into each of the way points (fox example construction needed and so on).

i presume the "manual waypoints" i marked are among the ones in the tracking ones, but i see no info i entered (opened the file with excel, google earth and GIS software).

how can i export this info to the pc. the only way to extract this info from the gps is using specific software? if so, which one.

sorry if this seems an obvious question, but i have read the manual, searched the web and on this forum, but couldnt manage to find an answer.

thanks in advance for your help and time

Google g7towin download that utility and you'll be able to access all you need I believe.

I do not have a 60CSx so I am just guessing here.

When I make a manual waypoint on my 705 it gets stored in the unit in a gpx file and cannot be exported. I have to open the Garmin folder inside the unit and find the file.

On the 705 the waypoints are stored in a file named "current.gpx".
GARMIN folder > GPX folder > current folder > current.gpx

So browse inside your 60CSx for a gpx file of some kind and see if your waypoints are there.

If you double click that current.gpx file it will open in MapSource and you can do a "Save As" with your job name and then do whatever you want with the coords.

You can also create a new "current.gpx" file using MapSource with whatever new waypoints you want and copy it to the 705 "current folder" and over write the "current.gpx" in the 705 and end up with a new set of waypoints that you can navigate to or whatever.

hello, thanks for the feedback. theres no current.gpx file on the GPS. theres only *.gpx of the tracks done previously.

I have a GPSMAP76S and I use Garmin MapSource software to unload the tracks and waypoints and routes into my computer.
