Do some Garmin Nuvi's find satellites better?

Hi all,
I'm new to this forum so I hope this is the appropriate place to ask a couple of questions.
Until the other day my wife and I shared two Garmin Nuvis. Our originial one, a gift from our son, was a Nuvi 200 which still works great. The only complaint I ever had about it was that it did not speak street names. So I bought a Nuvi 255.
This one speaks the street names and even tells you local speed limits. But I've always found that this unit has more trouble acquiring satellites and is much more prone to losing satellite reception. Is it common that some models are better at this than others?
Finally, frustrated with the 255 I bought a 1300LM the other day. Early use of it is favorable. It seems to me that the window mount for it is different than the one I got with the 200 and 255.

The other question I'd ask is whether I should try to sell the 255 now that I have three Nuvi's. I am having trouble deciding whether it's ethical to sell something which I believe is less than 100% functional. It does sometimes find and stay with the satellites but it is far more prone to losing them than would be the other two units. What do you think?

thanks,
Larry
