No map showing on newly uploaded activity

Uploaded yesterday morning's race from my Garmin Forerunner 405CX to Garmin Connect last night but it doesn't show a map. The time and distance and splits are all there, but it doesn't show a map or elevation gain at all.

I've uploaded 160 other runs before and never come across this issue before. All software/agents/firmware/etc are up to date and I've tried clearing the browser cache and reuploading as suggested at the top of every page, but there's still no map.

I've not changed any settings on the Garmin itself at all and it had no problems locating the satellites before the race (it wouldn't have recorded the distance otherwise anyway!).

Can anyone help?

I've just found a couple of threads with a similar problem, but they've all had older activity maps overwritten due to the device memory being full up. I haven't lost any data from older actvities - only the map from my most recent one! And looking at the user manual, it specifically says it will only overwrite older activities. I'd really like to see the map from this race as it's probably the one I'm most proud of to date!

I'm having the same issue with my Forerunner 305.

For me, it seems to happen when I have trouble connecting to the satellite (as in it takes a while to find it.) However, I've done a test where I went a short distance and checked the garmin "map" and it had the bread crumbs. But no map on the upload.

I just did a warmup, a 10 mile race and a 2 mile cooldown. 3 separate "reset" events, but never turned the 305 off. There is no map for the first 2, but there is on the 3rd one?

As the OP stated, all my distances are dead on, but no map or elevation.
This is happening often now and getting very. VERY frustrating.

edit: I should mention the map doesn't appear in garmin connect. I haven't tried sporttracks or any other ones.

I am seeing similar behavior again from my Forerunner 305. Everything fine until my June 1 workout, but that and 4 subsequent workouts won't display map data. Training center has the map data from the same phone - well, for the first 3 anyway. The last training run (from this morning) did not upload with map data into Training Center either.

Why I think here is a GC problem - if I delete an entry in GC and export that same workout from TC, the info comes over without the map data. However, if I import that mapless data from GC and import to TC, it comes over without map data.

So, I'm having a couple of related problems. I'm fearing it's going to get worse. Yuck.
