More Garmin trouble, as always.

Hello All,

Sorry to be negative on my first post here, but I'm really at my wits' end. I've had a nuvi 360 for a few years, and to be honest it has been completely unreliable, so much so that I gave up buying map updates.

Now I have a task at hand and need to calculate a route for local dropoffs for charity. I went to drivingrouteplanner.com and made a route (they optimize for you).

All I want is to be able to transfer this route to my garmin and have it lead me on this 4 hour trip around the city.. but once again, nothing ever seems to work with this device.

I downloaded the gpx file (i'm not even sure if this will work for a route or just poi) and the poi loader for the mac won't even allow me to select it. It is a gpx file, verified with another software. I'm not really familiar with garmin's other software like road trip (which apparently I have to pay more money to do anything worth while with it?)

Maybe I'm missing something here and maybe there's a better way to plan a 23 stop drive around the city, but the a fore mentioned site is very helpful in staging things the right way.

I never got much into the garmin as it routinely led me the wrong directions, and had me doing things like (get off the freeway, make a right, make a u turn, get on the freeway) I did get a local map earlier this year, which is pretty current (one release since) but could never pull the trigger on a full map update or lifetime since garmin's POI database is absolutely horrible in Phoenix (and my demo of their safety camera feature told me that going to poifactory was a much better solution).

Sorry for the long post, nuts and bolts, how can i get this planned route onto my garmin?!! Help! ;) and thanks.
