EcoRoute HD Connection Issue

Ever since the latest software and map update for my 1390T, my EcoRoute HD will not stay connected to the device. I can connect to it fine, but it does not keep the connection when the device is turned off. If I want to use the EcoRoute HD, I have to connect it every time I turn on the 1390T. It was working fine before the software update.

Is anyone else having this Issue, or am I doing something wrong?

1490t bt issues,,,ecoroute hd..cell phone...

Yep same here...on a 1490t...also will not reconnect to bt phone (lg env touch)..also. will not provide audio feedback beep when this happens...tried the master reset and reinstalled 4.6..fw...worked fine for about a week,,,now bt problems starting to resurface

Same problems here, after performing a reset the ecorouteHD works for a few days but then stops reconnecting. I am also seeing bluetooth connection issues at the same time the ecorouteHD stops working.

Same for me

Same issue, rma-d the first 1490t and now the second worked fine for three weeks and then same issue.

Ready to give up.

1490T & bluetooth lockups w/HD module

Hi -
I have finally figured out how to get the HD module and the phone to work.
If you cannot get the HD module to hook up via blue tooth. Or if the phone will not attach. Try unplugging the power plug from the back of the GPS.
this is the small one, not the one that goes into the cars power port.
Tell the unit to stay on and let it run out of battery power.
Hook up the power to the unit again and start up as usual.
This gets the HD module and the phone going again. I have done it several times and it works. garmin needs to fix the Bluetooth firmware. It is very clunky and full of glitches. I do have the latest updates on the unit.

ecoroute connection problems

I am on my second ecoroute now, in 8 months. nuvi 1490t, Subaru 2008 gtb. Connection keeps dropping randomly, sometimes wont connect at start up, sometimes takes 4-5 reconnection attempts before it works. Downloading an update for it gets "Access debied " msg, but nobody at Garmin support will respond to my queries on this one. Rapidly becoming a bigger nuisance than its worth, night as well go back to the Ecudatascan unit....
