Garmin Asus A50 GPS Doubts

Hello I have a Garmin Asus A50 and i have T Mobile connection. I have some doubts .

1. I dont have a data plan , so if i use internet while connected to wifi router, is that free ? and if i download something while connected to router ( eg: youtube video or a song like i would normally do over a laptop) , is that download free or will T mobile charge me something ?

2. If not connected to the router and i do not have a data plan , is there any way to access the internet? It has happened with me sometimes that while not connected to the router , i was able to access the internet and the 3G icon on the top of my home screen displayed some activity. are both of these things connected ? Does in this way i am using internet through t mobile for which they will charge me ? Because my t mobile account always updates itself with all my latest phone calls and messages but it still shows that i have not had any download activity . any insights ?

3. Is the GPS free or will the T Mobile charge me anything for that ? and if while connected to wifi and using the GPS i use some of the features of the phone like movie times, gas prices.....are these free or will T mobile charge me for this also ?

1. if u use WIFI then its all free because you are using your own internetconnection :) so no costs with T-mobile

2. u say the 3g icon lit up and you can connect to the net, thats the normal dataconnection, what means u will b charged from T-mobile for using the connection (u can turn that off in settings - wireless connection - data), if u use the WIFI connection then it will disable the 3G (data) connection until u disable the WIFI.

3. a gps system isnt depending on a provider, so no1 can charge u for using the gps, so when u use the gps its free :)
