Lose data with reset

I have had my Garmin Forerunner 110 for about 2 weeks and have uploaded activities several times without a problem. Today, after a 5 mile run, I went to load my data and the watch screen was frozen. :( I reset it according to instructions in the owner's manual which says "NOTE: This does not erase any of your data or settings." But lo and behold, after the reset, all my data was gone, including today's run. Very disappointing. :mad:
I looked at the Forum this morning and see that several other people have experienced this problem. What is Garmin doing to fix this glitch???

I have the same problem. Just went on my first trail run, 6.2 miles, and was really stoked about seeing this on the map. Now all my data is gone and I'm pissed! Any way to get it back? Why did this happen???
