Have my new Garmin handheld 78sc. How do you enter new waypoints from home (not fishing), i.e., given some fishing coordinates and manually enter them? The only thing I can figure is to: (1) turn it on and scroll curosor to someplace out where I will be fishing, (2) hold the Enter (mark) button and the waypoint editor pops up, (3) edit the name of the waypoint, (4) edit the lat/long to the lat/long coords you really want, (5) then press done. However, looking at the display map, the location(s) seem to be off from where they should be.
Doing something wrong?
