Has anyone else noticed that after the latest update for the Nuvi 3790 that some of the voice commands now do not work with 2.50. Most obvious is is the voice command "Find By Name". You now get an error message saying that this feature is not available for American English.
Then I updated and I just noticed the same error today, it says on "Find by Name" and "Find by City" that "Command not available for American English."
Also, when I "Find by Address" it says that feature is "Not available in the United States."
Garmin had to reload "ASR" files to get mine to work. Works now. It seems that you have to get past their "support" folks and into the software dept. before you get someone that knows how to fix.
I had the exact same issue after installing the latest firmware.
Garmin software support instructed me to reload the latest maps. That must have caused the ASR files to get rebuilt. After that, the "Find by Name" and "Find Address" voice commands worked again.
So, if you're having this problem, I'd suggest re-installing your latest set of maps. It fixed it for me!
as far as i can see the live traffic icon only appears when there is a fm traffic signal present
in central london (within the m25!) i rarely get a traffic icon, once it appears, it tends to stay but greys out on a "poor signal" ( ie when I get back into London"
Does any one have traffic info working on a 3790T ?????
Yes, here in Prague it works. The information is useless, but not because of the device, but because of the "free" provider who is not providing accurate information. It works much better in Germany, where you can rely on the displayed traffic jams (almost on any highway, at anytime). And it works also in France, but again, the "free" providers provide only basic info, not really reliable. Try to set up a manual search (only when connected to the electric power), and see if you have a list of TMC-RDS providers. Those with a dollar sign behind need a license purchase (don't select them), the others are free. If you don't see any "free" provider, no chance to get any traffic info.

Not working for me. I reinstall the North America NT from my Garmin and nothing. Voice Command only work for preinstalled maps but additional maps not working.
