Altitude gain not registering on GC

When I upload my activities to Garmin Connect I get all the information eg Time, calories, splits etc, but the overall elevation gain is not shown. This used to be shown but since I have re-installed GC onto a new PC this is not there.
There are no maps shown also. Is this linked?
  • This is a common problem on devices nearing their capacity. Do you ever clear out your old history? Can you upload to Training Center and see the maps?

    Hi S,
    No I do not clear out my old history. I reset before a new run though.
    I can't view my maps on the training centre either.
    Should I clear out my old history? How do I do that
    thanks
    S

    Hi S,
    I have just done a full reset to see if that helped and hey presto I now have elevation gain and maps. result!!
    many thanks though for your help- v much appreciated.
  • This is on page 23 of the Forerunner 405 Owner's Manual.

    1. Touch and hold menu > select History > Delete.
    2. Select an option:
    * All Activities--delete all activities from the history.
    * Old Activities--delete activities recorded more than one month ago.
    * Totals--reset all your totals.

    In your case, you would select "Old Activites." The typical scenario is that your old activites get partially overwritten (maps, etc.) when new activites are added to the device. Is this a new activity you're trying to upload?
