ANT Agent no longer uploading Forerunner 405

Hi All,
I've had my Forerunner 405 for around 18 months, and generally had no problems. I went for a run tonight and the ANT Agent is not uploading my run, and no longer seems to recognise/see the watch at all.

I've tried everything I can think of to reset things, including the steps from the FAQ to force a send, but nothing seems to work. I changed my wireless router yesterday and am wondering whether this could be causing a problem/interference. Can anyone offer any advice?

Thanks,

Mike
  • Try uninstalling the Ant Agent software, then reinstall the latest version. If you're using Internet Explorer, add garmin.com to the list of trusted sites.

Hi - thanks for the response. I did try that, I soft reset the watch, uinstalled/reinstalled ANT agent, removed the watch from the device list, checked for updates with the ANT agent and tried moving the ANT agent dongle to a different USB port. Nothing works, the ANT agent isn't recognising the watch.

Seems a strange coincidence that this started happening after I'd changed my wireless network?

    Thanks,

    Mike
  • Try turning your router off. If the upload works then it must be the router interfering. If that is the case you might be able to change the channel that the router uses.

why the *(£$^£ didn't I think of that :) thanks, I'll give that a go later.
  • If you have reinstalled everything, you may need to pair your unit again. Make sure the pairing setting is enabled on your watch. This setting is in the same menu as "Force Send".

Fixed :) Not entirely sure why, but turned off router, uninstalled/reinstalled ANT agent, switched router back on, and everything seems to be uploading again as normal.

    Thanks for the help...
