Map Areas Don't Show

I have a map file which correctly outlines the target area on the GPS but shows no detail when selected in the "i" menu.

What type of GPS device are you using? You posted this in the Garmin Connect section, which is mostly for fitness devices, so it is not clear to me what you mean.
